In Germiston, over 600 workers at Mister Sweets Factory have halted production, demanding a monthly wage increase to R19,500.
The peaceful protest, led by the Simunye Workers Forum, started on August 19. The workers, fueled by frustration, have been chanting and dancing outside the factory since August 22, voicing their need for fair compensation.
