The 1 May 2025 Workers' Day Rally in Joburg was against the proposed labour law amendments
The amendments have been secretly agreed in NEDLAC by COSATU, FEDUSA, government and big business. The new amendments make it easier for workers to fire workers as they no longer need to hold formal disciplinary hearings. The rally is by CWAO, Simunye Workers Forum, SAFTU, NUPSAW, GIWUSA, DEMAWUSA and many other unions.
