The CHEP SA strike has ended - workers speak out in new video%>
Since the strike started on 21 August 2025, workers have been picketing outside.
For more than 10 months, 87 workers at the Chep Jet Park warehouse were on strike. The strike started on 21 August 2025 and ended in July 2026. Throughout that time, the workers were picketing outside. Their supporters also staged numerous demonstrations at Chep sites across the country.
The strike began after the workers demanded Chep payslips reflecting their permanent status. This followed a 2020 Labour Appeal Court ruling that they had been placed at Chep by a labour broker years earlier and were now Chep employees entitled to permanent protection.
This film is about the resilience and courage of the striking workers, and the impact the strike had on their families.
